Tips for the Best Chicken Casserole

Use rotisserie chicken to save time and add extra flavor.
Make sure your rice or pasta is fully cooked before adding it to the casserole.
Let the casserole rest for five minutes after baking to help it set and serve cleanly.
Season generously, especially if using plain cooked chicken.

Variations and Substitutions

Swap cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom or cream of celery for a different flavor.
Use brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice for a healthier twist.
Add crispy bacon bits for extra richness.
Replace cheddar cheese with mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a cheese blend.
Make it spicy by adding diced jalapenos or a dash of hot sauce.
